There are multiple animals and plants through out the food chain, the most common is:

1. plant

2. animal

3a. secondary animal (might happen)

3b. decomposer

 

There is a 10% rule. That means every time somthing comsumes something else, it only gets 10% energy so the food chain would be like this:

1. plant 100%

2. animal 10%

3a. secondary animal 1%

3b. decomposer 0.1%
